Zuda Teacher: Jessica Napier

My name is Jessica Napier

I’m from... Fremont, CA

My sun sign is... Aries

My nickname is... Bongquesha. I grew up around a lot of Jessicas. In high school, when Jess, Jessie and Jessica were all taken, I became Bongquesha. To this day, I have a group of people in my life who only call me Bongquesha.

My favorite word is... Aujourd'hui — It's French for "today." I really just think that it's fun to say, but it is a reminder to be present. :)

I wish for... a teleportation machine so I could travel quickly, easily and cheaply all around the world!

I am thankful for... family, friends, community, health, wine and chocolate.

What gives me peace… Seeing people extend their hands and hearts to others —

re-assures me that there is a lot of love in the world.

Three words that describe me are… Grounded. Blunt. Approachable.

Why I chose yoga… It has helped me find peace in the chaos.

What inspires me most is... I am inspired by those who are brave enough to live life with a heart wide open. My mom has set this example for me.

Three words to describe my teaching style are… Compassionate. Grounding. Challenging.

I just can’t live without… Friends, family, water, fruit, blush and earrings.

My favorite food is… Strawberries!!

For fun I … I love to sit down with a good book, check out new restaurants, go wine tasting, and hang out with family and friends.

When I need a little escape close to home I go to… Anywhere that is going to allow me to disconnect from the frenzy of day-to-day life.

I’m most scared of… Losing everything I have — friends, family and lifestyle. Also spiders and Forever 21.

Seek out that particular mental attitude which makes you feel most deeply and vitally alive, along with which comes the inner voice which says, "THIS IS THE REAL ME," and when you have found that attitude, follow it is experience in action.
