Zuda Teachers > YeselI love to smile!

I usually have a smile on my face and love to share that with other people.  A smile can be so powerful.

I have been doing yoga as a physical practice since 1997.  It became a spiritual practice for me when I found Zuda.  I strongly feel I would be in a different place if yoga didn’t come into my life as a spiritual force.  The concept of non-attachment has been a blessing, especially in how I think things “should” be in my life.

I teach to share the gifts I have received with yoga.  My classes are nurturing and caring.  I offer students my smile and love.

I took Zuda’s 200-hour teacher training certification program.  I have also taken workshops with Baron Baptiste, Janet Stone, Shiva Rea and Rodney Yee.

I am originally from Gilroy, CA (the garlic capital of the world).  My family is from Mexico and I’m the first generation here in the United States.  I speak Spanish and feel blessed to be from such a beautiful culture.

I have traveled to Mexico many times for fun and to visit family.  I did a study abroad program to Costa Rica, while in college, and fell in love with their perspective on life and the beautiful tropical weather, and of course the beach.  The Costa Rican way of life is totally yogic!

I am a high school counselor and have been working with students and serving students for over 14 years.  I love working with them.  I also love to salsa dance and almost left my career in education to go on the professional Latin ballroom circuit.

I have 2 dogs, Osito and Mona, who make my heart smile!  I also have a 15-year old son who makes my heart smile even bigger.  I LOVE watching him play baseball.

I love to read, hang out with family and friends, and travel.  I love music, especially salsa music.  It makes all of my insides fire up!  I feel it in my blood and being.

May I care enough, to love enough to share enough to let others become what they can be.
