Zuda is hosting an evening with a Buddhist monk and Christian priest. Lama Marut and Reverend Baker will be focusing on selections from texts in their respective traditions to highlight shared universal messages. Entitled, “Happiness, God and the Good Life,” the two will discuss key concepts important to all of us.
Rev Baker
I am a follower of Jesus who enjoys meditating with Tibetan Buddhists. I am a husband and father; the Dean (senior priest) at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Sacramento and a West Point graduate and Army veteran. I am passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with others and am passionate about the value of other religious traditions. I am committed to the full inclusion of all people into the Episcopal Church. I have been intentional in working to include people who are gay or lesbian as well as people who are uncomfortable with such inclusion. Prior to moving to Sacramento in 2006 I was the Rector of St. Thomas Church in Sun Valley Idaho. Prior to living in Idaho, I lived in Hawaii.
